Layla Li

Ms. Li has 20 years of piano teaching experience and has helped many students develop their musicianship and enjoyment of art. Her teaching methods enhance learning skills, creativity, discipline, respect, and self-esteem through personal accomplishment.

Ms. Li recently moved from Chicago to Northern California’s Tri-Valley area. She teaches piano lessons to both beginner and advanced students from her home in Dublin, CA. She cultures young kids’ patience, curiosity, and interest in music. For the more advanced students, she emphasizes quality practice, attention to detail, and self-expression. She prepares her students for their musical goals including public performances, piano exams, and competition. Her piano students have won Gold Medals at Sonata-Sonatina Festivals and 1st place awards at multiple competitions.

Ms. Li encourages her students to explore all types of music and she selects a wide repertoire for her students from classical to jazz, pop, film soundtracks, and music theater. She spends time getting to know your child and customizes her teaching style towards their unique talents. Most importantly, she cares about kids and desires to see her student’s musical abilities mature.
